Hello and welcome to our lovely little forum! If you're reading this, then I can only assume you're interested in joining our server here~ If that's the case, then you may want to make friends with this post because it contains a great deal of necessary information you'll need if you want to play! Now on with the show~
Server IP: 24.250.0.50
These rules here are the big main rules. Breaking these will lead to warnings, restrictions, and eventually banishment, DON'T BREAK THEM. I typically like people, and I don't like being mean. But I WILL crack down if necessary~
-NO GRIEFING!-
This includes needlessly destroying a person's property, stealing for the hell of it, or killing for the hell of it. These things aren't COMPLETELY disallowed, but they are restricted. If you DO decided to play a morally reprehensible character, don't be TOO much of an asshole, it may bring the almighty ban-hammer down upon thee~
Huh, well I've been sitting here for a good 10-15 minutes trying to figure out another general rule... but I think that's pretty much it. If I or Ren think of any others we'll add them. ^_^
As you know, this here is a "Role Playing"(RP) server. What that means, is you're supposed to act and talk like your character, effectively playing the role. Now, we're not going to be all "RAWR! ROLE PLAY! DO EET NAOUGH! *Beats you with a whip*". That would just be silly. This is a VERY relaxed RP server, meaning you don't have to type in accents, and you don't have to use fancy language. Just keep it coherent, play along, and you'll be fine~
-The Basics-
ENGLISH! It's an odd language, I'll give you that. What's even odder is the slew of abbreviations and slang thrown around these days. Don't use any of it. Plain and simple. I don't want to see "u" for you, or "r" for are. That right there is probably one of the most important rules for role playing of ANY kind, weather it be heavy RP, or light RP.
Another important thing one should know when role playing, is that you don't use lingo and Minecraft nicknames for things, and you don't ask the admins for stuff. If you fell in lava and lost your diamond pick axe, that's too bad. That's part of the game, and you have to deal with it, I'm sorry.
-Crime and Punishment-
Stealing items and killing people on this server is not punishable by banishment or heavy admin/mod interference, unless it's done so in a manner deemed unnecessary. This means you CAN sneak up on other players and kill them, or you can sneak into a player's house and steal their stuff (in moderation) if their chests aren't locked.
Stealing
Now as seen above, stealing is allowed, but you're probably wondering to what degree. You're "allowed" (and I use the term lightly) to steal three stacks from any given chest once a day. If you're caught by someone, or seen fleeing the scene of the crime, you'll likely be reported to the guards. When it comes to that, you can either turn yourself in and take fail time, pay a fine (yet to be determined) or fight for your freedom.
Now, I know it would be awfully difficult for an admin to keep track of all this inventory business, and I will to the best of my ability, but there's a great deal of trust put into the players here. I'd hope you'll try to keep this a fun and friendly environment~
Now you're probably wondering if you can lock your chests. The simple answer to that is, well, no. Not unless you're a master blacksmith. You CAN pay someone to lock your chests though! You and the "locksmith" who made the "lock" will be the only ones with access to the chest, unless otherwise specified. The prices will range from person to person of course, and someone will be available to perform the service near the beginning of the game when no Master Blacksmiths are available.
Player Vs. Player Combat
The entire world of Solthinia is technically a "player Vs. Player" environment, but it's not very socially acceptable to attack your fellow man. There is no "Out of game" punishment for killing another player, unless it's done repetitively. However, if you're seen by another person, you'll likely be reported by the guards, who will then call out an APB on the criminal. By that point, you can either turn yourself in and take jail time, or pay a fine (yet to be determined), or try and fight your way out of it. Oh, Protip. Don't attack people in town. That's a big no-no~
~Plugins~
Solthinia runs a few very useful and fun-to-work with plugins~ With their power combined, Ren and I (Mostly Ren >.> ) have been able to put this server's features together rather seamlessly. I'll provide a short list of the plugins, brief descriptions with their roles in-game, and links to their respective forum posts in case you'll want to take a look!
-Minecraft Massively Multiplayer Online (McMMO)-
McMMO is an AMAZING plugin, in which the creator put SO much detail and work into. It basically inserts stats, skills, and so many goodies into Minecraft. This is the main staple to our server; this is where all of our "classes" can be made possible. It allowed us to give different groups the ability to use different skills, and even has a built in "Party" system. You can invite your friends to your party, use a chat channel that only you and them can communicate through, and even turn off "friendly fire".

Party Commands
/party <nameofparty> - creates the party for other players to join.
/p - Toggles party chat.
/invite - Invite a player to join your party.
/accept - Accept a party invite.
Other Player-Useable Commands
/mcmmo - Displays a description of the mod.
/stats - view your stats.
/<skillname> - Displays detailed information on the designated skill. To see what skills you have available, use the /stats command~
-Runecraft-
Runecraft can be a rather confusing plugin, but it is OH so fun. What it does in a nutshell, is makes blocks put in specific combinations do different things. There are patterns for teleporters, patterns that allow the player to enchant weapons, and a whole bunch of neat things! There's no way in hell I'm putting down all the info and rune plans here, so you can go to the provided links if you want to know more~
